The third-generation ProASIC3E flash FPGA series from Microsemi provides performance, density, and features above and above those of the ProASICPLUS family. ProASIC3E devices have the benefit of being a safe, low power, single-chip solution with Instant On thanks to nonvolatile flash technology. Reprogrammable ProASIC3E delivers advantages in time to market at ASIC-level unit costs. These properties make it possible for designers to use current ASIC or FPGA design flows and tools to produce high-density systems.
ProASIC3E devices have clock conditioning circuitry based on six integrated phase-locked loops (PLLs), as well as 1 kbit of on-chip, programmable, nonvolatile FlashROM storage. ProASIC3E devices enable up to 504 kbits of real dual-port SRAM, up to 620 user I/Os, and up to three million system gates.
The Cortex-M1 soft IP cores are supported by a number of ProASIC3E devices, and the ARM-Enabled devices have Microsemi ordering numbers that start with M1A3PE.
