Field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) from the XC3090L-Series offer a collection of high-performance, high-density digital integrated circuits. Their standard, expandable, flexible, user-programmable array architecture consists of a configuration program store in addition to three different configurable elements: an I/O block perimeter, a Configurable Logic Block core array, and resources for interconnection. The development system offers automatic place-and-route for design entry as well as schematic capture. As alternatives for design verification, there are options like in-circuit emulation and logic and timing simulation. The design editor is used to compile the data pattern that symbolizes the configuration program as well as for interactive design optimization.
