Field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) from Actel's second generation are referred to as the A1225APQ100I. C-modules and S-modules make up the two-module architecture of the A1225APQ100I. These modules are designed to work well with both sequential and combinatorial designs. A1225APQ100I, which is based on Actel's unique channeled array architecture, offers notable improvements in gate density and performance while still being downwardly and upwardly compatible with the ACT 1 and ACT 3 design environments.
For usage in all high-reliability and military applications, the A1225APQ100I provides a variety of packaging, speed/performance characteristics, and processing capabilities. Devices are implemented using the PLICE anti-fuse technology from Actel in a silicon gate, two-level metal CMOS process. Device utilization is approximately 95% of the available logic modules, and this unique architecture gives gate array flexibility, high performance, and quick turnaround through user programming.
