LPTM21-1AFTG237I is able to combine Control Plane (System Configuration, I/O Expansion, etc.) and Control Plane functions (Power Management, Thermal Management, Fan Control, and Power Control) as a single device thanks to this innovative method.
The LPTM21-1AFTG237I device's architecture may be broken down into two parts: FPGA and Analog Sensing and Control.
Voltage (nine standard channels and one high voltage channel), current (one standard voltage and one high voltage), and temperature are the three categories of analog sense channels offered by the Analog Sensing and Control (ASC) module (two external and one internal).
Two independently programmable comparators are used to monitor each analog sense channel in order to support the high/low and in-bounds/out-of-bounds (window-compare) monitor functions. Moreover, for the purpose of identifying short circuit events, each current sense channel offers a quick fault detection.
Several external transistor or diode configurations can be used with the temperature sense channels.
