EPCQ4ASI8N Overview

Intel Serial or quad-serial FPGA configurations can be supported by the active serial (AS) x1 or AS x41 setup schemes enabled by the EPCQ4ASI8N. For reprogrammable memory, greater than 100,000 program-erase cycles Support for status register bits-based memory sector write prevention Fast read, extended dual input fast read, and extended quad input fast read of the entire memory are all possible with a single operation code. One can reprogram an external CPU using the SRunner software driver. With the SRunner software driver, in-system programming is supported. ISP support is available through Intel FPGA Download Cable II, Intel FPGA Download Cable, or Intel FPGA Ethernet Cable. The memory array is initially erased after the bits are set to 1. The EPCQ4ASI8N device supports both active and standby power modes. When the nCS signal is weak, the device is activated and running at full power. The FPGA is set up while the EPCQ-A device is in active power mode. When the nCS signal is high, the device is disabled but remains in active power mode until all internal cycles, such as write or erase operations, are complete. The EPCQ-A device then switches to standby power mode. The ICC1 and ICC0 parameters, respectively, contain information about the VCC supply current for the device's active and standby power modes.
